POST 7

As an anthropology student, I believe that my specialty can have an impact as long as it is linked to the environment, because many times we are left with issues that are interesting for the academy but not necessary to meet the needs of the community. In that sense, if we work in connection with the community we can generate information that can be used for the creation of public policies that directly benefit people.

In this way, I see myself in the future working directly with communities, studying their realities regarding, for example, violence against women. I can help with my knowledge in understanding the context of how this situation occurs, and indicating measures that could be taken to provide a solution. Also, for a greater impact on the community, it is necessary to work with other disciplines to overcome or advance in structural problems such as violence against women.

POST 6

Hello everyone! Today I am going to tell you about my academic dreams. Will be a little difficult... because the truth is that nowadays most of my dreams revolve around the end of this pandemic...but well, dreaming doesn't cost anything they say out there, so let's do it.

To begin with... I would like to do some postgraduate studies in another country, not undervaluing what Chile offers me, but more than anything for the sake of living somewhere else, hopefully completely different, I would like the full experience of learning, which for me is not reduced to going to a class. Secondly, about the topic that I would like to address, there are several topics that interest me, but I think it would be interesting something related to feminist studies or globalization as a cultural phenomenon. Thirdly, following the "dream" game that we are playing in this post, I would like to study with a scholarship and all expenses paid.  If it is not too much to ask, of course.

That's the dream. 馃崉馃崉

POST 5

He is one of the greatest musicians of our time, Luis Alberto Spinetta, or simply "El Flaco". Born in January 1950 in Buenos Aires, he was a famous musician, poet and composer.

Although I knew about him since I was a child because of famous songs like "Muchacha Ojos de Papel" or "Seguir Viviendo sin tu Amor", it was only in my last years at school that I was introduced to his long artistic career in eternal bands like Pescado Rabioso, Almendra, Invisible...

I like it because of the beauty of its music, with crazy chords that could only have come from the imagination of El Flaco. On the other hand, the lyrics of his songs are full of poetry and often keep hidden messages, which served him to express himself even in times of the Argentine dictatorship.

And well, he has a lot of spectacular songs, so I couldn't say a favorite one, but I can tell you that the last song I learned on guitar was "Canci贸n para los d铆as de la vida".馃崉馃崉馃崉 Sadly El Flaco died in February 2012.

POST 4

This photograph was captured two years ago, in may of  2019. By a friend of me, my dearest Carito. The photo is from the commemoration a year after the "Feminist takeover of 2018", it shows in the foreground an intervention of underwear (panties and bras) that we did with a group of friends and in full Hall an instance of memory that we made. I like it very much because it gives continuity to what happened in 2018, and that for me was very significant. <3

POST 3 - My Favorite Piece of Technology馃挒馃構

When I start to think about technology becomes dificult to just think in a favourite one, 'cause we use them a lot in everyday. But i could probably saying that headphones are my essential. ❤❤馃挮

I got it everywhere, at anytime. I can start to live my day only when I put it on my ears with some music or some podcast (okay that's a bit dramatic). But seriusly I use it a lot, when I do sport, when I travel to somewhere (near or far), when I study...You could say I use them for about half of my waking day hehe...

I like them because I can listen to the music I like wherever I go, and that motivates my days. And the fact that it's a personal device, that doesn't bother anyone with noise or anything, makes it a must-have in the quarantined life today.

Life without headphones would be more boring... because is not having the excitement of your own soundtrack to your day. Having a good song to match your emotions makes your happy moments even more so, or your sad ones more dramatic, and so on... I just can say to finish this post, that everything is better with headphones. 馃榾馃挒

Blog 2 - Why did I choose this career?

Hello everyone!馃尶馃尲馃尲

Maybe in this post people are expecting a good history of why I choose my career. But the truth is that there's not a good or long story about it, I just followed a "feeling". And even I don't know if I'm in the correct site now, but I´m cool thinking that I like what I'm studying and in the future I'm going to be avable to help people.

Antropology it's a beautiful career but also it's  a very wide one, because at the end of the day you study human and his culture. At this point there are many tools that are necessary for a good work. Communication with the comunitys or people with you work with it really important in my career, because when you want to study your "object" is not something, it's someone, a person, so you need to be respectful and kind all time, and lisening what they want and need.

I have many ideas of other usseful tools for my career, but I know that all that tools only matters to me when I'm avaible to help someone and don't expect anythig back, just money for living. To me is important use your knowledge at service of the things that you believe. That's the point for me.
